Pouches--25 Year Shelf Life
Based on storage studies of Mountain House pouches over 30 years, in 2012 the shelf life was increased by an impressive 330%, from 7 years to 25 years! That’s right -- our shelf life is at least 25 years from the date of manufacture as long as the pouch is stored unopened in a cool area, and we are the only ones in the industry that has the test to prove it. After 25 years a change in flavor and appearance may be noticed. For best results, avoid prolonged storage at temperatures above 75° F (24° C).
